Today’s topic is about doing cardio on OMAD (One Meal A Day). A lot of people put up a lot pf resistance to this, and say: well if you’re on OMAD, eating only one meal a day, if you’re fasted you can’t do cardio, you won’t have the energy to do this!
Now this is wrong, because it’s probably best to do cardio and to do any kind of aerobic activity while you’re fasted, especially if you’re trying to burn fat. So I’ve doing this for about 4 years now, 7 days a week on OMAD ( eating One Meal A Day ) sometimes I eat One Meal Every TWO DAYS!!!
I do this while I’m lifting weights, running, training for my marathons and doing muay thai Kickboxing, which is quite a cardio workout!
Now I’m not just doing this but EXCELLING AT IT! The reason why I’m saying this is because my performance has not suffered, and to be honest it did improve! I want also to mention that I tested this, I did test working out, lifting weight, running doing aerobic activities after eating when I’m not on OMAD ( One Meal A Day ) and I found that my performance did go down!
Some of that may be because my body adapted to me running marathons and lifting weight on no fuel! However you can do these activities on an empty stomach since you might not used to it you might find it hard at first, I’m not giving medical advice here BUT if you do this and you’re not getting dizzy or feeling like passing out then go through with it and see how far can you push without harming yourself!
Here is the thing, because from an evolutionary stand point, if a cave man didn’t eat for several days and hungry, do you think he would be so out of energy that he wouldn’t be able to run after his target? well no! In fact he would be more PRIMED to run even faster and harder since he is a dire need for nutrition. That’s exactly why I noticed with myself I have more energy, more focus and more sharp when I’m on an empty stomach when i’m doing OMAD ( One Meal A Day ).
You can also take himbine hcl and caffeine that’s supposedly is gonna help you loose weight! At the same time if you’re really overweight just doing OMAD ( One Meal A Day ) would be enough for you to loose weight and give you a good result!
After that it all depends on your goals, you can add supplement and cardio, and you still can gain weight. For someone like me on OMAD ( One Meal A Day ) and doing running 50 miles a week + cardio + kickboxing being at 225 pounds I still can gain weight! yes even on OMAD ( One Meal A Day )
You have to be carful, don’t assume this is a magic pill or magic trick, at the same time don’t short change yourself, if you’re training don’t think that because your training you must eat more. As I said I’ve tested this and the results were better when I’m on OMAD!
